What is a digital insert?
The digital insert process is a highly exclusive, combined branding technology, most often used to personalise premium diaries, folders and book covers. During the process, the colourful, photo-quality artwork is first printed digitally onto a special base, then this insert is recessed into the cover of the product with pinpoint registration.
The edge of the insert is finished with a custom-made metal tool using deep debossing (pressing). This premium frame not only gives the artwork an elegant 3D depth, but also ensures that the edges of the insert blend perfectly into the surface of the material.

Artwork requirements for perfect production: For an accurate visual mockup and the production of the pressing die (cliché), for the logo or outline elements we need a file in vector format (.pdf, .ai or .eps). For the digital image files placed on the insert, a minimum resolution of 300 dpi is required for a razor-sharp print.
